• Take a soda bottle (16 oz or 64 oz). Fill 3/4th of the bottle with vegetable oil and the remaining with water till the top. Ensure that it does not overflow.
• Add around 10 drops of any food color so that the concoction looks dark.
• Chop an Airbourne or Alka-Seltzer (or salt) tablet into 8 parts. Add one or two pieces into the mixture to get cooler effects and it will start bubbling.
• Wait for the bubbling to stop and add one/two more pieces of the tablet. Continue till all the pieces are dropped and bubbling has stopped.
• Tilt the bottle to & fro and observe the fluid appearance. The minute drops of liquid combine together to form a single large lava squirt blob.
• Keep a search light or flashlight under the bottle to light up the bubbles.
